Small Project Bag – REPURPOSED Gold Velvet

Did you know that designer fabric samples are typically thrown away at the end of the season? They’re too pretty and too useful for the landfill, so I’ve made one into a gorgeous project bag.

This bag is my small size:

• approximately 9.5″ wide
• approximately 9″ high
• 3.25″ deep
• closes with a magnetic snap at the top
• fully lined in golden yellow linen-cotton
• 2 interior slip pockets
• a binder ring on a ribbon for  your stitch markers and small tools
• sturdy webbing handles – pull the loop of the longer handle through the shorter for top or over the wrist carry, with a 3.5″ drop
• perfect size for a small-sized project like socks, a hat, a lightweight shawl or scarf, or the start of a larger project

The fabric sample is a pretty faded-look print on pale gold velvet with a slight sheen. The base and top trim is a hand-waxed metallic linen-cotton in steel grey. Note that this is a metallic fabric with a fair amount of shimmer. The woven webbing handles in deep gold are a pretty complement.

Like everything I offer, this bag was made entirely by me in my smoke-free, dog-friendly home. It is one of a kind; the bag in the photo is the bag you will receive!

Care:

• The exterior print and lining can be gently spot cleaned with a bit of well-diluted soap and water.
• Waxed canvas is naturally water-resistant, so just brush away and dirt or dust.
• If water marks appear on the waxed canvas, from rain for example, they can be removed by gently warming with a hair dryer. Crease marks can also be removed this way.
• Do not machine wash or dry, or submerge the bag.

This bag will ship flat.
